My travels have taken me to many exotic locations throughout the world including Norway, Iceland, India, China, Europe, SE Asia and Turkey and my surrounding geography of the Pacific West Coast. I purchased my first SLR Camera in the late 1960's and began making prints in my home studio. Since the digital age of photography began I have been working in the digital domain using Nikon Cameras and Lenses as well as an HD Film scanner for archival film (needless to say that the darkroom is now in my past). While my real passion lies in the Black & White domain, all of my original image capture is done in color and then converting to B&W in post-processing.
I have always had a proactive approach to photography and participate in all phases of the creative processes including framing and matting my images. I print all of my work on my in-house Epson 4800 printer using Hahnemuhle and Moab Papers as the primary media (and also offer print to canvas).
For editing I use a variety of software programs including Digital Light & Color's Picture Window Pro 7, DxO (for digital image raw file conversion), SNS_HDR (for HDR merging), Capture NX, Neat Image (for Noise Reduction) and QImage for printing. Prints larger that 16X24 are printed using a local printing lab. I have designed and implemented this web site using Dreamweaver CS5 with the help of CSS3 Menus and WOW Sliders.
